FLORISSANT, MO. (KTVI) - The You Paid For It Teams grills the Mayor of Florissant on his effort to keep the Missouri Court of Appeals from scrapping his city's red light camera law.
The Court is expected to run in weeks on the Camera laws in 3 Municipalities, in a ruling that could be the beginning of the end for the dreaded Red Light Cameras. The company that runs the problem for Florissant issued 18,000 tickets in 2012.
Florissant's cut of the revenue $638,000.
The Mayor wouldn't answer the question of whether the Red Light Program in his city of fair, he insisted it made the intersections safe.
We talked to a motorist who got several Red Light Camera Tickets even though she wasn't even in the car. Her daughter was driving he vehicle. She's gotten at least 4 tickets for her kids driving her car and she says that's just not fair to her.
Attorney's are hoping such cases will convince the Judges that the Red Light Camera Program is unconstitutional.
