Dave murray’s latest stl forecast and weather disco…For wednesday…May 15, 2013

*** still a warm day on wednesday but we should stay below 90 degrees and then things get spring unsettled…Scattered rain and storms…No cold air in sight!!***

Partly sunny and warm…Breezy
Winds: southwest 10-20 m.P.H.
High: 88 degrees

Wednesday night:

Scattered rain and storms…Mild
Winds: southwest 5-10 m.P.H.
Low: 65 degrees.

Scattered rain and storms…Slightly cooler
Winds: northeast 5-15 m.P.H.
High: 78 degrees

Friday…Low 80’s–some spot storms but a lot of dry time

The weather disco:

An amazing run of temperatures…With near record cold on monday morning to record heat on tuesday afternoon…Even for st. Louis…Very impressive. Still warm on wednesday–mid to upper 80’s with a system from the west and a front from the north starting to take control…Dealing with a split flow in the atmosphere…And we will be right in the middle of the split…So look for the front to the north to sink down…Close to us and then waves of energy from the west roll along the front with scattered rain and storms…Wednesday night and thursday…Spotty storms around on friday with lots of dry time. This is not an all day rain set up…Think a spring pattern…The bulk of the weekend looks great…With night storms returning on sunday night and lasting into monday…Concerns about a major severe weather outbreak on monday…Especially stl and points east into the ohio valley…A long way off
