OLIVETTE, MO (KTVI)-- Compared to the past few weeks Tuesday was like an inferno.

At Creve Coeur Lake in Olivette, folks celebrated the summerlike day, a perfect time to take the little ones out for some fresh air.  But there's an important lesson that these kids will quickly learn at a young age, in St. Louis enjoy it while you can.

At Bellerive Country Club, workers are putting final touches on the 74th Annual Senior PGA Championship.  More than 150 golfers from 17 countries will take part.  Every since they began setting up in April, workers have experienced cold or rainy weather or both almost every week. Although it made condition muddy they are still on target for opening day a week from today.

Last time a tournament was held, parking was in fields nearby and things got really muddy. This time all people coming to watch will park at the Verizon Amphitheater and then be shuttled over and back.
