ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Lennell Savage is part of the STL Rollers, just one of the entries in the Annie Malone Parade this year. They are always a parade favorite.

This St. Louis tradition began over a century ago in the historic African-American Greater Ville Neighborhood when thousands of St. Louisans would gather to honor Annie Malone, the founder of Poro College and the noted children’s home that carries her name.

The Annie Malone May Day Parade begins at 1:00 p.m. and starts at 20th along Market Street, heading east to Broadway.

Immediately following the parade is the McDonald’s May Day Blues Fest in Kiener Plaza.
