Dave murray’s latest stl forecast and weather disco…For the weekend…May 18-19, 2013

*** warm and humid for the weekend…But rain and storms very tough to find…That is not the case as we get into next week as the severe threat gets higher***

Saturday:

Partly sunny…Warm and humid
Winds: southeast 5-15 m.P.H.
High: 85 degrees

Saturday night:

Partly cloudy and humid
Winds: southeast 5-10 m.P.H.
Low: 68 degrees.

Sunday:

Partly sunny…Very warm and humid…Windy
Winds: southwest 15-30 m.P.H.
High: 88 degrees

Back to strong to severe thunderstorms…Something that has been very limited monday afternoon, monday night and tuesday…A run to watch the sky

The weather disco:

An early summer feel to the weekend…Warm temperatures and plenty of humidity…But nothing for the lift to focus on…So rain and storms just about impossible to find. That will change next week…As a massive trough in the upper atmsophere drifts across the nation…It will take about 6 to 10 days to move across the nation…But will bring the largest severe weather shot of the spring season. The prime focus will be increasing storms going through monday afternoon and especially monday night and tuesday..A run to stay up to date on the weather and watch the sky…The works possible with these storms…Heavy rain, lightning, hail, high winds and tornadoes…Stay up to date…This has been on the table for over a week…So no one should be caught by surprise. Once this moves by–slightly cooler air but not by much with a secondary system coming into play thursday night and friday…Have a great weekend
