ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - The big one is coming. Scientists say a large scale earthquake is expected to hit the New Madrid fault within the next 50-years. It could devastate portions Missouri and Illinois as well as five other states.

Power and water could be in short supply for months. Damage could stack up to hundreds of billions of dollars.
