ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – French artists have taken Todd Akin’s quote from a FOX 2 interview with Charles Jaco and turned it into a pinball game.

The piece is called, “La Femme Flipper” and was displayed in an exhibition called, “Terre, mater, matrices, Maternités.”  The exhibition was part of the “Les Ateliers d’Artistes de Belleville” gallery near Paris France.

The art is based on a quote Akin gave from the interview, “If it’s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down.” That quote sparked a firestorm of criticism of Akin during the 2012 Senate campaign.  Some say the quote cost Akin the campaign.

According to Marie Busson’s website she took the idea for the piece from Isabelle Mangini and collaborated with Hakim Mouhous.
