ST. LOUIS, MO. (KTVI) -- The Cardinals are honoring the late, great Stan Musial all season long. He passed away in January, but the memories live on.

Dan Buck with Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center and Brian Schwarze,Stan's grandson, talk about this very special statue tribute.

The statue is part of 2013 Homers for Health, a home run pledge program Powered by Peabody Energy to benefit the medical center. Led by Co-Chairs Matt Holliday, David Freese and Allen Craig, Homers for Health invites baseball fans to pledge as little as .25 cents per home run during the St. Louis Cardinals regular season.

The 7-foot statue includes the names of donors and also showcases photos of Musial's life.
