CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KTVI) - After two years, the parents of Jaque Waller can finally lay their daughter to rest and her triplets will have a place to visit their mother.
The Cape Girardeau County Prosecuting Attorney confirms that her body was recovered by police on Wednesday. She had been missing since June, 1 2011.
Her parents say that they are not surprised about where the body was found. Waller's body was found in an area that search parties had been concentrating on. The location will not be revealed to keep the evidence intact for trial.
The 39-year-old mother of triplets went missing after meeting with her estranged husband Clay Waller about their divorce. Her SUV was found abandoned near Fruitland, a few miles away from their home.
Authorities charged Clay Waller with first degree murder in the disappearance before the body was found. He is currently is serving a five-year term in federal prison after pleading guilty to threatening Jacque Waller’s sister in an Internet posting.
The couple’s triplets, now 7 years old, are living with Jacque Waller’s sister in St. Francois County.
Parents Stan and Ruby Rawson say the worst part was telling the kids their mother would never come back home.
She is going to be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery in Leadington, Missouri.
Family members are in the process of making arrangements. They are still waiting to take custody of Jacque's body.
A 5k run is scheduled in honor of Jacque on June 1st.
