BRIDGETON, MO (KTVI)-A young boy was struck by a car early Sunday in Bridgeton. According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, which is investigating the incident, three year old Andres Pitts, was struck by a Jeep Patriot near the intersection of Lindbergh Boulevard and Old St. Charles Rock Road around 4:45pm.

He was taken to the hospital where he is listed in serious condition.

Investigators say the boy was spotted by a driver who pulled over to try to help the child. When that driver yelled out, the boy ran across the road and was hit by a Jeep traveling south.

The boy’s parents were located at the nearby Northwest Airport Inn.  Police have video showing the boy leaving that hotel.
