Buffalo Bill’s QB Jim Kelley Diagnosed With Jaw Cancer

BATAVIA, NY – Former Buffalo Bill and hall of fame quarterback Jim Kelly publicly announced that he has cancer.

Kelley says he has a type of cancer called squamous-cell carcinoma or cancer of the upper jaw.

“So I started having problems with my upper jaw and I just want to give so much detail about it but I knew something wasn’t right…but after I think it was about 5 or 6 antibiotics wasn’t taking I knew something else was wrong.” said Former Buffalo Bills QB Jim Kelly “The pain has been around for many months. Like I said I went through a number of antibiotics at the beginning thinking it was just an infection.”

Kelly’s surgery has been scheduled for June 7th. Kelly will have part of his upper jaw removed. He’s unsure if he will require chemotherapy.

His course of treatment will be decided after surgery.
