State’s Attorney Releases Opinion On For Conceal & Carry In Illinois

EDWARDSVILLE, IL (KTVI) – Madison County State’s Attorney Tom Gibbons says its his opinion that conceal and carry is legal in Illinois. In making the decision Gibbons says a US Court of Appeals gave lawmakers a deadline to pass a conceal carry law. A bill is now before the Governor awaiting his signature.

Gibbons also says charging people conduct that is protected and for which charges would be dismissed would be a waste of time. But, he does of a list of guidelines that must be met before anyone can conceal and carry in Illinois.
