OAKVILLE, MO (KTVI) – Construction of a controversial senior citizens apartment complex in Oakville may soon be stopped.

Ground was broken last month on the complex on Telegraph Road.  The project is receiving funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

After an uproar from hundreds of Oakville residents the St. Louis county council voted to send the project back to the planning and zoning commission.  Many residents complained they were not given proper notification of the project.
