O'FALLON, MO (KTVI) - Monday, officers seized the Krispy Kreme in South County.  Less than two weeks before, it was the Dunkin` Donuts in Fairview Heights, Illinois.  There, Fairview Heights Police, O`Fallon, Illinois Police and O`Fallon Corrections officers stood on the roof while collecting money for the Special Olympics.

On the Missouri side of the Mississippi River, this is the 13th consecutive year officers have taken over donut shops to raise money for the games.  The events feature athletes with physical or intellectual challenges.  So, officers from Overland and St. Louis County helping will help raise money during today's event.

Customers who donate at least $5 will get a sweet treat from Dunkin Donuts.  Companies or individuals who give at least a thousand will get a donut party.
