Child Injured By Fireworks In North St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-A 10-year-old St. Louis boy was injured Friday night by an explosive device, likely fireworks.  It happened around 8:00pm in an alley along Beacon Avenue in the Walnut Park neighborhood of north St. Louis.

After getting hurt, the boy ran to his home a few blocks away along Genevieve, where someone called 9-1-1.

The child has serious injuries to one of his hands and was transported to a local hospital.
