Science Center’s Exploradome Coming Down

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - The Exploradome at the St. Louis Science Center is coming down. The air-supported structure opened in 1997 as a temporary facility that provided space for exhibitions and events.

In 2011, Boeing Hall opened, replacing the Exploradome. Tearing down the structure will save the Science Center at least $200,000 annually in heating and cooling costs. Demolition should start Monday.
