CARLYLE EAST, IL (KTVI)-- They are breathing a sigh of relief along Carlyle Lake in Illinois after Saturday’s strong thunderstorms swamped at least seven boats.

Carlyle Lake is known to get very choppy because it's shallow.

Waves or rollers were reported as high as six feet, inundating the small vessels with water.

Amazingly no one was badly injured in the storm.
