What The New Obesity Classification Means

(KTVI) – Obesity is now classified as a disease by The American Medical Association.  Since 1962, obesity has exploded from 13 percent to 34 percent of adults.  It's at 17 percent for children.

Saint Louis University Cardiologist Dr. Michael Lim spoke with John Pertzborn about how this new disease classification will change things for physicians and for patients.
