Crimestoppers seeks to solve Cold Cases

ST. LOUIS, MO. (KTVI) – Crimestoppers is requesting the public’s help to solve opens homicide cases from the St. Louis area.

Remember CrimeStoppers pays up to $1000.00 for information leading to the felony arrest (only) of subjects responsible for felony crimes.

Victim Sherrell Austin was the back seat passenger in a vehicle stopped near the intersection of 23rd and Hebert at 2:00 AM on July 8th, 2010. A Charcoal Gray or Green colored sedan pulled up to the victims vehicle.  One of the four males in this sedan got out and attempted to rob the victim and the
other occupants of their vehicle.

As the occupants attempted to flee the vehicle, the victim was shot
and killed by one of the male Subjects.

The subjects fled in an unknown direction. Witnesses said the gun used in the homicide was possibly a 9mm automatic hand gun.
