GM to invest $133M into Wentzville Plant

WENTZVILLE, MO. (KTVI) – Wednesday morning Missouri Governor Jay Nixon announced in St. Louis that General Motors is set to invest $133 million dollars into the Wentzville assembly and stamping plant.

Nixon has made revitalizing the auto industry one of his top priorities this term and this makes the second major investment by GM to its Wentzville plant.  The $133 million dollar investment could bring 55 new jobs to the plant, coupled with the $380 million dollar invest in 2011, could bring a total of nearly 500 new jobs to the plant.
