St. Louis Police and Citizens Academy team for Child Safety Day

ST. LOUIS, MO. (KTVI) – The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department and the Citizens Academy are teaming up for the First Annual Child Safety Day.  The event will be held on Saturday, June 29th, as part of the city’s Fourth of July celebrations.

Parents with children are invited to attend the event and have their children fingerprinted and learn about other safety measures parent can take to prevent harm being done to their children.

Police will also be giving out identification bands that can be attached to children’s shoes that could help identify your child, if they were to become lost a large crowd.

Child safety day will be held at the St. Louis Police Academy on 315 South Tucker, Saturday, June 29th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
