COLLINSVILLE, IL (KTVI)– Collinsville Police Officers responded to a call Friday June 21, 2013 for a reported robbery at the CVS Pharmacy on Beltline Road.

The report claims that an African American male entered the store and reached over the counter grabbing an undetermined amount of cash from the register during a transaction. The suspect fled the area in a vehicle and no weapons were involved.

In a follow-up investigation the police identified the suspect as Carlyle Curry. He is approximately 5 foot 7 and between 170 and 190 lbs. The suspect is 39-years-old and was donning sunglasses and a goatee at the time of the robbery.

Curry has been charged with two counts of Theft Under $500, but his whereabouts remain unknown.

The vehicle driven at the scene of the crime was a light-colored 1995-2001 Chevrolet Lumina with no front plate and a cracked passenger taillight assembly. It is possible that Curry may have also been involved in a similar robbery that occurred Wednesday June 19, 2013 at a Walgreens on Bluff Road. Curry is currently considered at large and dangerous.

Anyone with information is requested to call the Collinsville Police Department at 618-344-2131 or Crime Stoppers at 1-866-371-8477.
