(KTVI) - Taxpayers could have avoided costly legal bills in Ellisville and Fairview Heights.

Ellisville Councilman Matt Pirrello led the charge to get rid of Mayor Adam Paul.  The legal cost of removing the Mayor cost at least  $100,000 in lawyers fees.  But, the mayor just got his job back, for now.  But, Pirrello plans on continuing his efforts to spend your money on this costly, questionable deal.

In Fairview Heights, the city is ready to get rid of a lawyer that ran up more than a half million dollars in legal bills in just 9 months.  Mayor Gail Mitchell told investigator Elliott Davis, he's had enough of you paying so much for lawyers.
