Man Charged In North County Homicide

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)– A man has been charged after a homicide in North County.

Cameron Reed, 25, was charged for one count of Murder in the Second Degree and one count of Armed Criminal Action.

The St. Louis County Police Department North County Precinct responded to a report of a person down on Winkler at Chambers at 3:20 AM on Sunday, June 30, 2013.

Officers found 25-year-old ONeal Stafford dead from a gunshot wound at the location. The investigation revealed Reed and Stafford, who were alleged friends, had earlier been involved in a heated argument which escalated to violence at the occurred location.

Reed was arrested on Monday, July 1, 2013. Reed confessed to his involvement in the crime to investigative detectives.

A $250,000 cash-only bond has been issued.
