21 Injured in N.C. Deck Collapse

OCEAN ISLE BEACH, N.C. – Authorities in North Carolina are investigating a deck collapse that sent 21 people to the hospital. It happened on Tuesday night at a condominium on Ocean Isle West Boulevard.

Just after 8 p.m., the second story deck gave way onto a concrete patio, according to The StarNews.

Injuries ranged from broken bones to cuts and bruises, but none of the injuries reported were life-threatening.  About 25 people were on teh deck when it collapsed.

Marzano said about 25 people were on the deck when it collapsed.

An Ocean Isle official said the home is a private residence that was being rented.
