(KTVI) – Got some old shoes laying around the house?  Why not donate them to the “Shoeman Water Projects” which kicks off another driver Thursday.

The organization collects used shoes which are then sent to street vendors in South America, Haiti, Kenya and other places where people need affordable shoes.

The proceeds are then used to by water drilling rings and purification systmes to provide clean drinking water to areas where water-related illnesses are a problem.

The drive starts Thursday at Whole Foods Market on Brentwood near the Galleria Mall. It will run until August 18th.
