T-38 Air Force jet crash involves pilot and student

WICHITA FALLS, TX – Emergency crews rushed to the scene in North Texas after an air force jet crashed this Friday morning. The plane went down near Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls.

Local news station KAUZ reports the two people in the plane were an instructor and student pilot.

Officials say both were ejected from the aircraft safely but one of them was taken to the hospital.

There is no word on what caused the accident, but an investigation is under way.
