ARNOLD, MO (KTVI)– Dreams come true for an Arnold family who feared they wouldn’t be able to escape a fire in their home.

But thanks to a lot of caring people, they no longer have to be afraid.

Gregg and Debbie Maschmann just had a sprinkler system installed in their home for free. On Wednesday, Jeff Delapp with the Rock Community Fire District worked to put up the drywall around it. Debbie Maschmann has MS.  When a fire broke out in their home in September, thankfully her husband Gregg was at home and carried her to safety.

But they feared what would happen if she was alone.

Excel fire protection donated the sprinkler system and even put it in for them.
