Girlfriend runs over boyfriend with car; children in foster care

FOLEY, MO (KTVI) – Lincoln County police say Kathryn Marie Vigil, 30 ran over her boyfriend with her car.

Her boyfriend told police that an argument broke out after he saw Vigil punch a 3-year-old. She then began throwing household items at him to get him to leave.

The boyfriend left the residence for a neighbors house. He returned shortly to pick up his son. Vigil then loaded her two children into the vehicle in an attempt to leave. The victim told police that he stood in front of her car to stop them. She began nudging him with her vehicle several times. She eventually struck him hard enough to push him over. Police say the victim refused medical attention and does not seem to be suffering from any serious injuries.

Officers examined the home located at the 100 block of Country Hill Estates, in Foley, Missouri. They determined that the home was unlivable and the children were residing in deplorable conditions. They have placed the children them in protective custody. The Division of Social Services placed the three children in foster care.

Kathryn Vigil is in police custody. She is charged with Felony Domestic Assault in the First Degree and is currently housed at the Lincoln County Jail on a $50,000 cash only bond.
