Man points gun at police during traffic stop

NORTH ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO (KTVI)-St. Louis County police have arrested a man who pointed a gun at officers after a traffic stop. Police pulled over a car at Chambers and Jeffrey in unincorporated north St. Louis County Tuesday afternoon. As police walked to the vehicle, the passenger got out of the car and pointed a gun at the officers. They fired at him but the suspect took off running.

Police found a gun nearby. They believe it was ditched by the suspect.

After a search, the man was arrested Tuesday evening. The driver of the car, a female, was taken into custody at the time of the incident.
