American Legion Legacy Run to come to Missouri on August 18th

ST. CLAIR, MO. (KTVI)  – The American Legions Annual Legacy Run will ride into Missouri on August 18th, escorted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Patriot Guard from American Legion Post in Missouri.  The Legacy Run is a charitable arm of the American Legion that raises money for children of fallen service men and women, in service of the United States.

The American Legion Legacy Fund provides scholarships to the children of the fallen, to continue their education at colleges and universities across s the country.

As of 2012, over 100 scholarships have been award, with the average grant of $2,275.

The run this year will start in Indianapolis, making it’s way to Houston for it’s national convention.
