FLORISSANT, MO (KTVI) - A man who had already been convicted nine times for driving drunk is now facing his 10th DWI charge.
Joseph Hayes, 53, of Florissant, was pulled over by police around 11:00 a.m. Monday during a traffic stop. Authorities say Hayes was drunk and driving on a revoked license.
He was arrested and charged with his tenth DWI. This time, it's a felony because Hayes is considered a chronic offender.
Florissant police say Hayes has also been convicted 10 times for driving on a revoked or suspended license.
He is currently being held on a $100,000 bond.
