ATLANTA, GA. (KTVI) – The Center for Disease Control has issued a new report in its Vital Signs report, showing that 19 states are reporting decreases in low income children obesity.  The report states that Missouri and 18 other states are seeing at least a 1% decrease in child obesity rates.

Previous research had showed that one in eight preschoolers were obese in the United States.  That translated to children being five times more likely to be overweight or obese as an adult, if they were overweight.
