ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – The Cardinals manager Mike Matheny joked that he told Carlos Beltran to bunt in the 8th.  It was a joke and a reference to what happened in Monday night’s loss to the Dodgers.  This time Beltran hit a home run and the Cardinals beat Los Angeles 5-1 to end the Dodgers 15 game road winning streak.   Matt Adams also homered.  Joe Kelly outdueled the Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw to get the win.  Kelly continues to shine as a member of the rotation as he worked 5 1/3 inning giving up just one run.   The Pirates also won so the Cardinals stay two games behind Pittsburgh in the Central Division.
