Kushneriuk cleared to play hockey; tweets #Stage4CancerSurvivor

(KTVI) – Ohio Valley fans know Chris Kushneriuk from his days playing with the Wheeling Nailers. While battling an injury in the 2011 season he found out that he was diagnosed with cancer.

He just tweeted, “Amazing news today! Cleared to play hockey again. Forever indebted to everyone who contributed. #Stage4CancerSurvivor”

The 25-year old though he had beaten it.  But, the recent news hasn’t been as positive.  He was traveling to Indianapolis to receive treatments to save his life.
