ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-- Real Madrid has touched down in St. Louis.

Soccer will take over the Edward Jones dome this weekend for the match between Real Madrid and Inter-Milan.

Real Madrid practiced at Hermann Stadium. The countdown to Saturday is shrinking every minute.

Even the dome is practically ready for Saturday.

Grounds crews put the last few sections of live sod down on the Edward Jones Dome floor earlier Thursday afternoon.

A light watering will take place Thursday night before painting the lines Friday.

And then there was touchdown at the airport Thursday afternoon.

Real Madrid landed safely around 4:00 Thursday evening.

One of the world's most expensive franchises de-boarded their flight at Signature Flight Support Hangar at Lambert.

That of course included one of the world's most popular, certainly soccer's most popular athlete, Christiano Ronaldo.

The team followed a police escort to their hotel at the Ritz Carlton in Clayton.

It was there that a few crafty St. Louis soccer fans were able to sneak a peek at Ronaldo and Real Madrid before anyone else in town.
