ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Two St. Louis area sisters are sharing more than just parents, clothes and secrets.  They now get to share their babies’ birthdays.

Sisters Stacy Henning and Shanon Blase both gave birth just hours apart on Thursday at Mercy Hospital St. Louis.

Shanon Blase had her little girl, Myla, at 1:03 a.m. Thursday.  Stacy Henning, who was scheduled for a induction Thursday, gave birth to a baby boy named Lukas at 9:01 a.m.

Henning knew her sister had gone into the hospital, but thought she had been sent home. And she did but returned to the hospital.

The sisters say they have the same doctor and have even scheduled appointments within 15 minutes of each other without knowing it. Family and friends have joked for months that they’d probably go into labor on the same day.  They were right.
