Bank robbery suspect captured near St. Mary’s Hospital

RICHMOND HEIGHTS, MO (KTVI) – The Pulaski Bank in the 6500 block of Clayton Road was robbed around 10:30am Tuesday. The suspect ran from the scene  to the southwest.

There was some concern that he may have tried to enter the emergency room at St. Mary's Hospital, which across the street from the bank. Hospital officials say the suspect did not enter any of their buildings. Extra security was placed at hospital entrances as a precaution.

Police captured the suspect shortly after the robbery in a nearby restaurant. Official charges have yet to be filed.

No other customers were inside the bank at the time of the holdup.   The bank branch was closed Tuesday morning after the robbery, but is reopened by afternoon.

No one was injured.
