Kraft announces $40M investment into Granite City plant

GRANITE CITY, IL. (KTVI) – The state of Illinois and Kraft have announced a deal that will see the investment of $40 million dollars into the Kraft Granite City plant.  The plant makes ready to drink beverages and the investment will be in adding four additional lined of pouch fillers, the an additional 30 jobs to the plant

Currently the plant operates with a staff of 410 employees.

Kraft expects the new equipment to be installed and functioning by 2014.
