3 Burglary suspects arrested in Lincoln County

TROY, Mo. (KTVI) – Lincoln county sheriff’s deputies have arrested 3 burglary suspects in connection to an August 21st burglary in Silex, Mo. Deputies were called to the 400 block of Stanek road, where the victim showed deputies damage done to his property.

The thieves had kicked in a door to his home, but did not take any items. But they did steal two vehicles from his property, a 1975 Ford LT9 grain truck and a Honda 100r dirt bike. The truck was also used by the thieves to ram into the victims garage, causing around a $1,000 worth of damage.

After reviewing security footage from the Silex Central Elevator, deputies discover the stolen truck has been headed east on Highway E, an employee of the elevator to the investigators that a similar truck was owned by a Mitchell Houston of Foley, Missouri.

Deputies went to Houston’s residents, where they saw a stolen vehicle in plain sight. Houston was taken into custody and deputies got search warrant to search the property. The truck was found off a road in Silex burned.

Information from Houston lead to the arrest of two other suspects, Adam Bote, 22-years old and Zachary Hill, 23-years old.

All the three suspects are in custody at the Lincoln County jail. Zachary Hill is awaiting formal charges; Bote and Houston have been charged with felony second degree burglary, 2 counts of felony tampering with a motor vehicle and felony property damage.

Houston’s bail has been set at $100,000, Bote has also been charged with felony knowingly burning, and his bail has been set at $75,000.
