(KTVI) - An Arizona family is trying to find all of their father's children.

Not five, not even 10. We're talking about 50-plus.   Three of his daughters are left with the tough tasks of tracking down their 51 siblings so they could attend his memorial service.

Samuel Whitney, 87, operated a wrecking yard and a half-dozen social clubs. His eldest daughter is 69 and says her dad fathered children into his late 70s.

Some of the sisters put up posters around Phoenix to try and spread the word.  the women called their dad a "wild man" but says his family was important to him.

They want to meet all their siblings, saying that is what their dad would want.
