Fire destroys historic south city home

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - Fire destroyed a historic home overnight in the Lafayette Square neighborhood of South St. Louis.

The house on Dolman, just off Hickory, was fully engulfed in flames when crews arrived around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday night.   The family who owns the three-story house was not home at the time.

So far, it's not clear how the fire started.
