Carol Hurst from Olde Town Spice Shoppe shows us her toasted marshmallow Oreo brownies.
Toasted Marshmallow Oreo Brownies
2 boxes of brownie mix (for 8x8" or 9x9" pan)
Oil, water, egg- whatever is necessary for the brownies per the package
20 double stuff Oreos (about 1/2 of the large pkg), broken in to large pieces
1 - 20 oz bag of miniature marshmallows
Lightly oil a 9x13" cake pan and preheat the oven as per the brownie box instructions.
Make one package of brownie batter according to the box instructions. Pour in to the prepared cake pan to cover evenly. Spread the crumpled Oreos across the brownie batter.
Prepare the second package of brownie batter according to the box instructions. Carefully pour a thin stream of brownie batter over the Oreos, going back and forth slowly to try and get even coverage and cover the majority of the Oreo pieces.
Place in the oven as per the brownie box instructions. Five minutes before the set completion time for the brownies, remove the pan from the over and pour an even layer of miniature marshmallows across the top (the majority of the bag). Place back in the oven on broil. Broil until evenly browned, then remove the brownies and cool before serving. (The marshmallows will "deflate" slightly while cooling.) Enjoy!
