ST. CHARLES, MO (KTVI) – Bill Graham is the first player to win the ‘$5 million Jackpot’ in the Missouri Lottery’s scratchers game.  The sales representative from St. Charles picked his ticket up at the ZX gas station on Dunn road between appointments in August.  Now, the instant millionaire plans on retiring with his winnings.

The 50-year-old said he had to double and triple check the ticket. Seeing the winning numbers must have been a shock to Graham.  He played the lotto once every few weeks but for some reason he felt an inclination to try his luck on the game that ultimately made him an instant millionaire.

Graham went to his last few sales calls before going to the Lottery’s office in St. Louis to claim his prize.  He claimed his prize the next day.

The “$5,000,000 Jackpot” is a $20 scratchers game that started on August 5th.  Two out of three prizes ranging from $20 to $100,000, remain in play.
