ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - Café Natasha is celebrating their 30th anniversary with their Annual Hummus Happy Hour. The event is a patio block party extending from Café Natasha`s to Absolutli Goosed.
Natasha Bahrami, the namesake of the popular Persian restaurant, stopped by to tell Tim Ezell about the festivities and to see who would win the falafel eating contest: Tim or Kevin Steincross.
Wyoming Street will be closed off from South Grand Blvd. to Arkansas St. to make way for the festivities.
Special guests Coco the camel and Lover the Llama, visiting from Rainbow Ranch will be entertaining along with Belly Dancing from Samira of Belly Dance Mirage.
The Unlimited Hummus Bar Happy Hour features all-you-can-eat vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free treats including hummus, falafel, vegetable stew, a variety of Persian Basmati pilafs, fresh sautéed mushrooms andgrilled pomegranate eggplant.
The party will kick off with the 3rd Annual Falafel-Eating Competition, once again challenging the bold and the brave to break last year’s record of 22 falafels in 5 minutes to capture the title of Falafel-Eating Champion plus win a gift certificate redeemable for dinner for two.
