ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - A controversial project on the city's north side is getting the green light. The St. Louis Business Journal reports that the St. Louis TIF Commission has approved Paul McKee's Northside Regeneration Project.

The matter now heads to the St. Louis Board of Aldermen would could make a decision as soon as next week. If it gets the go-ahead developers could begin work as soon as this winter. theĀ  project would use up to $390 million in TIF funding to redevelop as many as 1,500 acres in North St. Louis.
