(KTVI) - You've heard that an apple a day keeps the doctor away?  What about this sweet solution to dementia?

Dr. Aloka Amarakone is a neurologist at SSM Neurosciences Institute at St. Clare Health Center in Fenton.

Amarakone talked about a new study that shows drinking two cups of cocoa a day may help keep your memory sharp.

Researchers are reporting that seniors who drank two cups of hot cocoa a day for one month performed better on thinking and memory tests than those who didn't.

Brain imaging also showed cocoa-drinkers had better blood flow in the brain.
