Woman reportedly run over twice by boyfriend

UNION, MO (KTVI)-  A Union, MO woman was reportedly run over multiple times by her boyfriend following an argument.  Around 10:30pm Thursday, the woman’s son contacted the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department to report that his mother had called him saying her boyfriend had injured her.

Sheriff’s deputies went to the home of the 55 year old woman in the 100 block of Indian Prairie Lane outside of Union. She told them that she and her boyfriend had a fightand she asked him to leave. As he was leaving, she stated that he ran over her twice with his car.

The victim suffered substantial injuries and was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital.

Authorities began searching for the suspect, who they believed to be armed. They spotted his vehicle abandoned in a wooded area outside of Pacific, MO. St. Louis County Police were contactedand a search dog was brought in. Around 1:00pm Friday, the K-9 indicated someone was in a cabin near where the car was found.

After several attempts to make contact, the 54 year old suspect came out of the cabin and was arrested without incident. Charges have not yet been filedand the investigation is ongoing.
