(KTVI) - There's better weather in flooded Colorado, but the past week's flood water remains.

Almost 18,000 homes and 200 businesses are destroyed. That's expected to increase as residents return to their flooded property to assess the damage.  Many Colorado residents are trapped in their homes, cut off from services and unable to travel far.

John Pertzborn's brother-in-law, Al Short, of Greeley Colorado is one of those stuck in his home. He talks about his current situation.
