(KTVI) - Despite the rain, people still lined up for the new iPhones on Friday.

The big buzz surrounding these devices is due to a couple of reasons.

First, the 5s was not available for preorder.  Since there was no choice to reserve one ahead of time, customers must visit the store to purchase one.

Another reason for all the hype could be the unique circumstances surrounding the release of these phones. This is the first time Apple is launching two phones at the same time.

Customers are excited about the new and improved features on these iPhones.  The iPhone 5s is especially receiving a lot of attention.

It has a feature in which you can use your fingerprint to unlock your phone and make purchases on iTunes.   The video camera also has slow motion and zoom.

Another bonus feature surrounding the new phones is that they are available in different colors.

The 5c comes in a variety of colors to choose from and is $100 cheaper than the 5s.

The 5s comes in new colors including gold, silver, and gray.

The AT&T store opens up at 8 a.m and those who are interested in getting one of the new iPhones are encouraged to get there early.

Last year, the Brentwood store sold out of iPhones within the first day.
